Howdy, its been quite a while again.
Its been 3 Months actually!
I came back from Thailand just in time to POP.
After which I attained my 3SG rank.

Following that I was posted back to Tekong!
Doing 2 weeks of Commanders Prep Course(CPC) with Sparties, Armour & Sandbags in SISPEC.
Then doing Unit Immersion Program(UIP) in Tekong before posted to my Coy.

So far, I've been confined with my Rec for 2 weeks.
Though some Malaria directive states I stay out for 8 weeks.
But that has long ended.
Coming to the end of my Rec 3 week stay in Tekong.

But that's for work.
I celebrated my 21st Birthday quietly with my Princess.
Watched Transformers Revenge of the Fallen (Cool!)
Went to PRCS's 10th Anniversary last night. (Also Cool!)

Hmm, for today, it's just one of the days where my optimism fails to cheer up the bleakest of days.
I met Princess for lunch @ Bugis.
I was late as dad wanted to delay me...
We ate at the Zen Zen Restaurant.
Weird name but it sells Italian food in Asian Style Packaging??!!

Then we visited
-Cheers (for drinks)
-Sunshine Plaza (To see figurines)
-This Fashion (See Clothes for Princess)
-Iluma (New Shopping center)
-Arcade (erm to catch turtles?)
-Uzumaki (Ice Cream)
-Bugis Junction (Looking for birthday prezzies)
-Zinc (To buy my Princess her new bag)

Iluma is totally huge with many teen targeted shops!
Not like the squeezy Tamp1...
Eitherway we visited Otaku Hse (Another branch!)
A visit to the Arcade made things topsy turvy.

A failed attempt at catching turtles led to a upset Princess.
Gave Upset Princess a ice cream from a restaurant which charged extra 17% (10%service charge + 7% GST) for takeway! [What a ripoff, what service??]
Bought Upset Princess a bag from Zinc.
Figured out we won't be able to take any photos like we promised many dates ago...

Wow, the first post of the year!
Wishing all my friends
A Wonderfully Happy & Prosperous Chinese New Year!

Hmm, An Update on how life is for myself.
Currently serving the nation in SISPEC.
Camp all the way in the west.
Every-time I book in/out its East-West or West-East.

So far, its been 5 weeks, this is the beginning of the 6th week.
I've been through most technical handling tests (Weapons, Signals, Medical).
It's surprising that I'm still studying in Camp.
The Army has adopted Problem Based Learning too!!

Besides studying for tests, I've been through field camp.
Taken my tour of duty as:
~Leader Section Commander (LSC)
~Leader Platoon Sergeant (LPS)
~Leader Sgt Major (LSM)

Most of the appointments occurred during events (Navigation Ex + Range).
So I guess you can imagine the hellish workload + scoldings I get.
Besides that, I'm going for another camp this week.
Its UrbOps Time!
Should be quite fun, minus the rifle cleaning.

Esplanade Lighted Up!

Its been a long while since I posted.
Since Sep, before I enlisted.
Life has been [Good/Bad] a fair share of ups and downs.
Army Trainings & Lessons.

Overall, I say its a [Tiring/Tough/Thoughtful] experience.
Field Camp was a terror. (Shell Scrape, Rain, Artillery Drills, Fast March, Battle Immersion Course)
But it was also fun! (Firing Blanks, Forming up formations, Urban Ops, talking cock with section mates)

SIT test was round 2. (Fast Marches, Doubling from point to point, Arty again??)
Then again, it was memorable. (Doing things our own way, Meeting new people)

Range was range. (Long Waits in between, but firing LIVE rounds!)
I was the [Only/Sole/First/Last] Man in my detail.
Imagine the whole range, with 18 lanes, only 1 man firing.
That was just weird. LOL

Anyway I brought Princess out to celebrate!
Princess had done well in her Maths Test 37/40.
I had just gotten my Marksman & passed my IPPT.
We had Fish & Co for dinner.
My Princess ended up eating Tatar Sauce with Fish & Chips.
Uniquely Princess!

After that I brought her to buy a new wallet @
Wallet Shop.
The one she had been eyeing for some time.
And we had ice cream @ Andersons to celebrate.
Even Baby Tigger Came over to see.

After that we took a short walk over to see where the flyer was located.
Then another walk home.

I must say I was impressed.
I didn't know quite what to expect.
But it was an enjoyable movie.
Very funny.
4.5 out of 5 stars.

Today, I went to visit my aunt at Novena.
She has 7 dogs! All which are very nice looking and obedient.

After the visit, I went to Edogawa restaurant for lunch.

Below, everyone got a desert, including Ru (my cousin, happily sticking out her tongue)

Well, I suppose all good things must come to an end.
It's time to move on.
Today's my last day at RP as a staff.
I'm feeling a little emotional, I'll be leaving twice, once a student, now as a staff.

Still, I had an enjoyable time as a temp in RP.
Made possible by my wonderful colleagues.
I got them a little leaving present (Bag of Famous Amos).
But of course, no journey is complete without photos.

That evening, I met SQ & SY to celebrate them finishing their exams.
Myself, I had finished work and was entering NS in 2 weeks time.
A Nice meal at Fish & Co.
SQ went clubbing after that.
SY & Myself went down to McCafe Tamp for a Tea before heading home.

Its a Monday...
I woke up with a start, unable to breathe.
Discovered I had a sore throat & blocked nose.

Went to work.
Felt totally crappy.
Got sent home.

Went on a errand before going home.
Supposed to collect HD for Chris.
Chris 2nd HD spoilt...

Sitting at Mac Cafe while typing this.
Sipping a Warm Himalayan Milk Tea.
Being sick sucks, especially when you walked in a little rain yesterday.

Dang, I missed watching fireworks 3 times this weekend.
The weekend started on Fri evening.
I was going to collect Chris's HD from Data recovery center.
They decided to close early.
Mission Failed...

After which I went to Princess to find Tian Xi a gift for his birthday.
We decided to get him a CD after much contemplation.
I also managed to get myself a sports attire after so long.
We were at Marina Square shopping, and just outside the fireworks were boom-ing.
Stuck at the CD shop, we missed the entire show...

On Sat, I had an SAS gathering.
Raymond, Tern Poh, Maisur and myself met at Bugis and walked over to Mind Cafe.
Sadly, besides the food and the talk, everything else was rather dull.
I thought the event started too late (We were there at 2, they started at 4 to 6)

Tian Xi's Birthday on the other hand, was happening!
Playing GTA 4 on his PS3.
Mahjong with my Bros & Sis from Church.
Card Games & FOOD!
Excellent Party!
Birthday Boy sure seemed Happy!
We had an excellent view of the city.
Except the fireworks were hidden behind buildings.
Crap...

Sun, I started to feel sick after church.
Must be the walk in the rain.
I bought a Paradise Worship CD.
Went Gym with SQ, Jun Long, Tiong Wee & Nicholas.
Walked in the rain again.
Went home to watch the Olympics Closing Ceremony.

Let's Start this post with some mouth watering pictures.

A Picture of A Burger @ Shokudo Raffles City.
It was a rather decent burger costing $6.
With lots of meat, veggies & and generous serving of fries.
The only pity was that the food froze so fast.
The Aircon was cold.

As you know by now. I visited Shokudo Raffles City with SY & SQ.
My dinner was that burger plus a scrumptious egg omelet.
Excellent nosh. But the price was rather posh, I paid a total of $14.

After which, SQ, SY & myself retreated to nearby Marina Square to play pool.
Each one of us pulled off some pretty nice stunt shots.
Then we returned home for a good nght sleep.

Its quiet...
Deafening quiet in the office.

The school is deserted, due to the HOLIDAYS!
If I was a student, I'll be jumping for joy!
Holidays, I look forward to them always!

But I'm a working young adult (emphasis on the young part)!
I enjoy the spacious bus seat compared to cramp corner next to the door.
Cause there are nil/almost nil students competing for the same seat!!

Anyway, let's talk about meeting Dave.
I met Princess after work yesterday.

Decent Graphics.
Clean storyline. (No nitty gritty details to confuse you)

Life gets funny sometimes.
After work, I went down to clementi to fetch my cute princess.
After all, it was princess's first day at school (NUS).
Princess was all geared for battle with backpack and lappie.

We traveled down to town to have dinner at KFC.
However, KFC was full (too bad for them)
We decided to have dinner at BK instead.
First time eating fries without guilt since the 40 days fast.
Ahh that was nice!

While we were walking around Marina Sq hand in hand.
Marina Sq was having a wedding exhibition.
It so happened we had to walk past it to get out.
Without so much batter of an eyelid, those hungry salespeople were out in full force.

I loved the look of a uncle's face there best.
He came and asked if princess and I wanted wedding photos.
Then he noticed the school logo on my shirt.
Politely, he asked "Are you a student?"
Without waiting for my reply, he retreated.
I was totally tickled pink.

However, Princess wasn't that lucky.
A lady approached us and asked princess if she wanted photos.
When princess replied she was a student
The lady changed her tactics in that moment she heard was a student.
Asking her if she wanted couple shots...
Whattaway to do sales!

After a long sales pitch, we told her we weren't interested.
But still, we got away, $500 for couple shots in a studio.

Strangely the place only sells pasta/pizza/desserts...

Met my Aunt & Mum at Somerset MRT.
Walked down Orchard Road to NYDC.
Had Three Amigos Pasta.
Then had a Brownie for dessert.

Interesting place. I liked the ambiance & dessert, but didn't like the selection of food.
I guess they really fitted to authentic NY cuisine.

Wow, its the month of August already??
Time sure flies, on the 29th of this month I'll be leaving my current job.
By Sept I'll be enlisted and whisked away to do National Service.
Less & Less time to train up for army.

This week I'm thankful for many things.
One of them is being able to help-out in the Eco-flea Market.
It's a chance to save the earth (recycle), make new friends and even do charity work.

At the same time, I'm also paid for work. LOL!
I saved a Pikachu & Charmander from the trash bin.
After which, I played one of those Big Sweet Land Machines and won
~Pikachu
~Pooh Bear in Tiger Suit
~2 Esso Tiger Cubs, (Kitties!)
Now I have a nice family of soft toys adorning my office desk.

I;m just glad that God has watched over this week and made it well.
Especially on Wed, where I had to hand in my Time-sheet (for work)
Buy A Cake for Shaun (Happy Birthday Shaun!)
Attend 144 Leaders Meeting.

All this in a short time span of 1 hour.
It was a miracle I managed to make it to the meeting .
There I was blessed to see Pastor Poh saved food for others & I!
Then I was asked to scan my IC for attendance.
Strangely I was never told to do so before...

Today I attended a school board meeting.
The only reason why I was there was because I was helping out with the event.
It certainly was an eye opener.
~Being introduced to the new principal.
~Listening to industry terms I never quite heard before, L3 pay??
~Listening to the new P's vision
- Making sure RP Students & Graduates have the same chance to compete for jobs and places in university as other Polytechnic students.

The entire system, which I went through was being dissected and discussed before my very ears. The angle and depth which was used for the discussion was on an entirely different level from a student's viewpoint such as me. I'm Enlightened.

Sadly, the good thing there is also a bad thing.
The discussion was made possible by the directors and assistant directors.
It was also because of them that everything there was sophisticated.
Till such a point that they probably didn't notice the helpers around.
The again, some people go by the standard, no news is good news.
Hence no notice means everything went well... (I hope)

It would be nice, if they bothered to mingle with the staff helping out.
Oh well, wishful thinking.
Oh, The Dark Knight was nice!

Its been a while since I posted till now.
Within that time, I've went through quite a bit.
Watching of 2 movies,
-Get Smart
-Wanted
Both which were excellent. Thought I believe that WANTED was pretty good a 4/5 stars.
Get Smart gets a 3.5 out of 5 stars.
Thats Good already!

During the short time.
I've also switched Jobs back to the school I came from.
Well, despite me being pretty much lost in the office.
I'm pretty much content in what I would be getting and doing.

Managed to see the President up close today.
They distributed clappers which were exceedingly difficult to inflate.
Ended up waving without em. Hrump...
Smiley friendly-looking president waved back!

Probably might watch Dark Knight later this evening.
Hopefully it doesn't end too late and I'm not too tired.

Riding Pillion on my friend's Red Vespa!

He rode to work today, taking me along.
It was certainly windy, more windy than riding in a car.
Unless, riding in a convertible (which I rode a few times)

It certainly was a different experience, weaving between cars.
Feeling the engine rev right under your butt.
Doesn't quite encourage me to get my own bike.
But still it's a wonderful new experience.

After Work, I packed my room.
Went to gym with SQ.
Saw a huge rat at the foodcourt! OMG
Dad picked up an handsfree set for me!
Exciting Happy Day!

$59 missing!
OMG why did all the people all pay cash today!

Work is hazardous when you're working with cash!
Especially when you have too many cashiers around.
#The saying too many cooks spoil the broth#

I don't believe I was the one at fault.
But it was really messy when you have 100+ people paying.
My colleague on my right kept shaking/hitting my arm whenever counting cash or serving customers. ~ Irritating idiot

In the end, 3 cashiers ended up paying for the missing $60.
We suspected someone over-changed the customers.
T_T $20 each, my pay is $24
%No pay for today. $4 used to cover transport...

Clearly From the Trailer & Picture, Things have been happening for me this week.

Mon & Tues had no work, and I had time to go out with Princess! On Monday, Princess & I went downtown to Orchard, there we walked to Ngee Ann City to look for her Ripples Slippers. Unfortunately, there were none that caught my princess's eye.

Walking over to Cineleisure, we had lunch at BK followed by a Arcade Session of Para Para. I can't dance as well as Hui Qi, but I managed to get a "B" Rank!

We were preyed upon by a choco selling auntie and ended up buying Princess's First Truffle. She pretty much enjoyed licking her fingers for leftover choco.

Headed south to Plaza Sing, then further south to Esplanade, then to City Hall MRT.

Tues was spent with Princess again, having ice cream @ Swensens and going off after dinner to meet Fauzi for some entrepreneur talk...

On Wed, I went to Clementi to fetch Princess after work to go Bugis to eat 1 Ton Mee (It was a rather heavy lunch) & Yellow Fellas (Fries that were yellow, OMG a green fry) & Steamed Tapioca (Hot Tapiocas in Coconut Milk, Creamy).

Reached PR & Played the Rcade @ Downtown East before watching "The Happening."
Movie was overall quite depressing, people dying.
There were also funny parts
~Talking to Plants
~Ppl dropping off building (Sadistic... But Funny!)

Somehow, the plot didn't quite make sense to me, it wasn't explained either, but I liked the way developed and wrapped up. Overall, 2.5 out of 5 Stars...

Dear Bloggy,

The previous week seemed to have been a dull week for me.
There was work everyday except Monday!
Princess & I managed to go to the Arcade and played the Big Sweet Land in Jurong Point and we got a huge handful of sweets for $20. Not the best exchange but still good nonetheless.

Last Thurs, a recruitment agency called me, offers Job.
# Person A introduces herself, Asks me down for interview that afternoon.
# Person A does not exists in the company when I came for the interview... How Strange...???
# Person B interviews me, tells me that she would call if there is a job available, erm...

On Friday, I went with Muhsin to visit Bugis after work.
He went for Friday Prayers & I walked around Bugis.
After having an expensive Ayam Penyet Lunch (Smashed Fried Chicken)
We headed down to Bugis Village where I discovered that it was much bigger than I ever expected, considering it was the first time I ever set foot inside.

After that I was at Lavendar following Muhsin around looking for shoes, Apparantly at Golden Mile Food Court, there is a 3rd story full of army stuff!! I had no idea.
Maybe it shoes how much mountain turtle I am...
Anyway, an enjoyable weekend spent with SY & SQ playing LAN. Wah haha!

On Thursday, I brought Princess to the IT fair.
We had Pizza hut for lunch!
Nice Pizza and Pasta for student prices!
After which, I brought her around the IT fair.
Princess was so excited at the Macs there.
The phone deals are outrageous!

After which, we took a stroll down to the Esplanade to take photo with Ps Khong.
Well, his poster anyway.
Magic Box Tickets being sold.
His show is next month, 12-20 July!

Today, I went to the far west to work.
After which, I had a light dessert with my colleagues.
Then I met Princess @ Jurong Point.
Pretty far right?

Either way, I bought her a perfume called Aqualilly from BodyShop.
It smells kind of like the bottle of perfume found on the airplane.
I used it to combat the smelly airplane cabin smell.

We had Mac & Walked around.
After which we spent $10 on the arcade to get sweets.
Kind of pointless, but it was fun scooping out our own sweets!
The we played Initial D & DDR.

After which, we walked around more, but it was a real enjoyable afternoon.
Going to the Far West again tomorrow.

Well, the week has been fun.
Apart from having no work.
No exercise either.
Mai entering Army.

I met up with SY & SQ for Chronicles of Narnia - Prince Caspian!
The movie was interesting, quite the Disney Blockbuster its supposed to be.
The story is about some bunch of humans invading Narnia.
The evil warlord has his own son & tries to claim the throne.
He hates inhabitants of Narnia (Magical folk).
Prince Caspian almost gets killed off & blows the horn.

The sons of Adam & Eve return.
Make an alliance with Prince Caspian.
Fight Evil Warlord & Fail Miserably.
Get Aslan the lion to help. (Secret Weapon)
Lion has supersonic roars & can summon treants & water elementals.

What I like most about this movie.
Is the punchlines,
Susan - "You keep the horn, you might need to call me"
Dwarf - "I am an adult..."
And much more!

The Transition effects are spectacular too!
Transiting from Narnia to the real world.
All it takes is a camera span and they return.
Really good effects there, seamless and smooth.

I give it 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Myself & Garnet Celebrating My Birthday on the 24th of May!

Dear Bloggie,

Today started off as another boring day.
Ended up with just as much activities as yesterday.
Princess & I had a minor disagreement yesterday.
It carried onto today.

Which I told myself, I didn't quite want photos today.
Somehow, what i thought became reality. No photos taken today.
Thankfully, the disagreement was resolved quickly over tea.
We sat at Sakae munching on Sushi & Udon/Soba.
Quite worth it as everything came up to $40.

After which, we walked around and bought Doughnuts.
Then we delivered it to Joy & Cell @ Plaza Sing.
Princess wanted to stay, so I quickly took the hint and left.
In fact, if she had informed me earlier, I would have disappeared.
After all, I wouldn't want to be hanging around ladies talking important stuff.

Visiting Nijo & Attending a Cashflow Workshop tomorrow.
I seriously thank God for the opportunity to meet up with so many people this 2 weeks.

A solemness has settled on me.
Call me sentimental, but really its a deep solemn feeling.

Today, I cut my hair.
Perhaps cut is too strong a word, trim is more fitting.
I trimmed my hair, and when I washed it, loads came off...

Then I went with Mai to Cenileisure to meet Mich & Benji!
We decided that we won't be watching Chocolate as planned.
Going over to the Park Hotel, we had the student special ICE!
The ICE Cream Sundaes were nice!

After which, we hanged around Taka waiting for Raymond to appear.
After browsing through quite a few shops, we left for Ray's workplace.
Situated at Telok Blangah, its near Harborfront.
We played DOTA & Pool for free!
It certainly brings back memories, schooldays playing DOTA in class.

Now, one of my best pals are leaving for army.
I probably won't see him for 2 years.
Understanding both of us are busy.
It kinda wakes me up, we aren't that young anymore.
We're entering the service soon.
Deep Thought...

After that ultra filling meal, I went to watch Indiana Jones with them.
It was summer blockbuster so I guess it was alright.
I give it 3.5 out of 5 stars.

~***Spoiler Alert***~
Story goes Indy gets kidnapped and brought to Area 51.
He identifies a mysterious object.
Kidnappers try to make away with object.
Indy tries to get it back, instead ends up on a rocket.

Rocket brings him to Nuclear test site.
Where he fortunately finds a lead lined refrigerator.
Mushroom Cloud appears!

So far, the through the fast paced movie, I was able to link most parts together.
There wasn’t a fast forward, backward, present, forward, backward again flashbacks like in Speed Racer.
The humor level matches that of Iron man.

I really enjoyed the way Indy Jr gets his way out of situations.
Eg.1 He punches a jock and the greasers (leather jackets) come support him, fight and confusion results, allowing him to slip away.
Indy himself is funny.
Eg.2 Thrown a snake and asks people to tell him it’s a rope
Eg.3 Blowing a blowpipe the wrong way, killing the blower.

Overall, 3.5 out of 5 stars.
Enjoy!

Afternoon, I went down to Sim Lim to buy a Hard Disc for the spoilt Mac.
Rushed to Cell, at Chris’s Place!
Following that, I went for a birthday celebration at Queenstown.
We had Zhi Cha.

Oh it was my Birthday celebration!
Princess baked me a cake!
Chocolate fudge, I certainly am touched!
Wahhh, Emo, Princess Cake, Chocolate, mmmm!

Terrance and cell bought me a Mokona for my birthday.
Wasn’t that unexpected!
Now my brother loves it.
I have no idea why…

Well, I’m back in Singapore to celebrate my birthday with my family! Princess came over to my house in the afternoon to celebrate with me and pass me a Naruto movie. She also wanted to clean my room! Silly Bun!

We had a good time chatting and updating each other of the latest happenings. I also passed her a pack of starburst + lollipop, koala shaped chocolates and a hanging koala! Dad treated me to a nice dinner of Zi Cha and Mum bought me a Champagne Berry cake. A simple quiet Birthday, with excellent memories of my Australia trip, especially the Jet Boat and Helicopter ride!

Famished! That is the only word that can quite possibly describe how I feel now. I just finished walking around the NGV (National Gallery of Victoria) aka Museum. It so happens that we picked the day that a press conference was being held for the museum as well. It was reported in the newspaper that quite a few hotshots that I didn’t know was around to raise money for the museum’s big anniversary.

I just met up with another relative! This time on my mother’s side! We had a lovely dinner at their house and a nice chat, after which we took the train back to the city to pack and get ready for the next day.

I’m now at the Bus terminal en-route to the airport. We started this morning early, going to Queen Vic Market in the morning to buy some more souvenirs and having another scrumptious hot dog, rushing back to the hotel and getting onboard the airport shuttle now.

Sweating! It’s so hot and humid! I’m back in Singapore finally typing this onto my laptop. I seriously missed my laptop and the internet. Internet in Aust cost 10cents a minute, almost a rip-off.

The plane ride back was 8 hours with 4 hours of turbulence. I was visibly shaken when I reached Singapore, how would I have known that the entire 2nd half of the journey after leaving the Australian coast would be turbulence. Anyway, it’s good to be home.

I decided to go around the city to look around. Under the recommendation of my Monash friends, I went to find DFO (Direct Factory Outlet), it was a huge village of shops (similar to the size of Vivo City) trying to find myself a nice jacket. However, no success there and I went down to the Queen Vic market to look around instead. Gosh the hot dogs there are certainly scrumptious!

Stopped by Coles supermarket to buy a few goodies to take back to Sg and went back to the hotel room to rest.

Wah, it was a nice time meeting up with Huiqi! I took a tram ride down to Melb Uni to meet her & her friend Franny. But I was quite frozen by the sudden rain (it seems like melb certainly does have 4 seasons in a day). We walked to Ligon Street for dinner at a pasta place having Lasagna & Pizza. Further down Ligon Street, we stopped by for some churios and chocolate, we certainly enjoyed ourselves there. Cold winds and sipping hot chocolate that literally forms a solid layer once cooled (liquid chocolate)!

Following that, we took a quick tram ride down to the Yarra river to walk to the casino to watch the fireworks. Literally Fire-works, each display is rumored to burn ½ a million dollars every night. After watching the big puffs of flames bursting from columns and roasting pigeons we went into the casino. (I was joking about the roast pigeons, though Huiqi was excited about “The Bird is on Fire!”)

I was quite lost inside the casino, don’t know any of the games nor had much money to gamble, we decided to walk to the arcade and play that instead. Following that, we went home. By the way, Happy Belated Birthday Huiqi!

Out of the Hotel and into Subway! I’m having eggs and ham for breakfast. The taste was quite alright, and by far the cheapest food I’ve managed to get in Aussie, it’s only $5! Will be heading down to Monash later in the afternoon to visit my classmates!

Back at the hotel, the trip down to the campus was alright, but I had a lot of fun on campus. Meeting up with Alice, Xiang Ting, Priya, Lena and Banu! It’s certainly been a while. We managed to catch up a little while having fries (yeah, fries, not chips…)

Attended their lecture at 4, in which Tsing decided to show up, lol, he was so sleepy, he skipped the earlier lecture. The lecture certainly was understandable; however, it was slightly more complex with M cells and weird genetic codes and names.

We went to have dinner after class with them at the nearby Clayton village. Munching and cooking our Korean beef and chicken and taking photos. It’s a pity my video cam doesn’t take photos in the dark well.

After which, we walked back to the train station to take a train back to the city and I end up writing on this little memo before going to bed.

I just barely stepped out of the airport at Melbourne and I was frozen and soaked to the bone. Sydney was nice warm 24 degrees Celsius and sunny, Melb was raining, with winds and coldness at 8 degrees Celsius. Thank goodness my aunt was at the airport to pick me and my dad up. Frozen Solid

Reached Philip Island and saw lots of endless land and sea, I managed to take pictures of wooly cows and sheep. I’m just waiting to watch Penguins later. It’s really cold and dry, so no matter how much I run about, I’m not sweating, Hah Ha Ha, take that Sg!

Hmm, I’m just happily eating a mouthful of chips while writing this little memo. By the way, I’m sitting by this seaside cottage having fish & chips. Gosh, you should really look at the size of the fish and chips. It can take on Fish & Co. any day, the size of the fish is around the size of my hand and the chips are real chips!! Fat, juicy pieces of potato! Makes you drool right?

The march of the penguins were nice, however, it was a little disappointing to be in the freezing wind of 6-8 degrees Celsius waiting for a bunch of timid penguins. They sure took their time to come up on the beach. They came up in groups of 5 and by the time I saw the 2nd wave, I got tired and walked back up to the observatory, on the way, the entire hillside was populated by penguins! Penguins where walking all around us (we were walking on a boardwalk), under us, besides us, behind us!

After dinner, I’ll be heading back to the Hotel!

Wa hoo, I’m sitting on the train, listening to the guy’s voice who says “doors closing, please stand clear!” I keep telling myself, if Sg ever had such voices, which sound so proud that the train doors are closing, I’ll love my Train System more. People here are so nice, they don’t stand and block the way of people alighting, because they have brains (people out of train faster = more space and faster go in)!

Anyway, I’m on my way to the Harbor Jet, the speedboat which does spins and turns in the water, its part of my holiday plan. It will blow a hold in my travel funds but I’m sure it’s worth it.

Fantastic helicopter ride, right now I’m just gushing about how cool the helicopter was, how fast we were flying, how clear the skies where. My, my, it’s a dream come true for me to fly in a helicopter. *Dreamy look*

I’m going off to see the Sydney Aquarium and Wildlife World later. Today certainly is a power packed day!

Sitting in the comfortable, spacey seats of the A380, I looked out of the window to see the swirl of darkness consuming every bit of light coming from the cabin. The plane had taken off from Sg just a few hours before, cutting through clouds without much turbulence.

Shortly, food would be served and I could see myself munching on some warm salmon in butter sauce accompanied by a glass of wine. I could seriously get used to such comfort. My first flight since the year 2000 and certainly the first flight on the world’s biggest aircraft was surely an experience for me.

Plane was about to reach Sydney, but I noticed that the flight route had been changed to Melbourne instead. Just as I sat there puzzled at the error of the navigational equipment, the pilot announced that Sydney was blanketed by fog and we would be diverted to Melb instead, what luck, an extra trip on the magnificent A380!

The wait was horrible; essentially, we sat on the tarmac just waiting for the refueling of the aircraft. Finally, since we landed at 7am, the plane is refueled and ready to be sent flying to Syd! Hooray! Will reach at 12pm!

Yahoo, I managed to check into the hotel at 3, took a nap and went exploring for dinner. Shops here close at 5, heck, the sun sets at 5. Weather here is fantastic, it’s around 20 degrees Celsius and even the sea breeze is dry! I tasted real fish and chips, mmm! Took a train ride to Circular Quay, and saw the Sydney Opera House and Bridge in the night lights; certainly a wonderful sight to behold. Back at the hotel where I write this little travel log! Beddy Byes!

Rushed to work in the morning at a isolated place in the east. It was some factory hidden behind a bunch of other factories. Finished work then went home to ZZZ.

Anyway, I went off to queue for Ben & Jerry's Free Ice Cream Day, Every 29 Apr. Somehow, the queue snaked its way around Whitesands, and when I ended up near the entrance, I kept getting hit by aunties and uncles trying to pass... Sighs, do I look like a gateway or passage way to you? Anyway, the wait was worth it, free ICE!! Princess came in time to jump the queue and get her Ice too!

Came out past midnight, no more MRTs, so I took a cab home. Gave my princess some cash to ride her own cab home, sorry nia, I can't send her home, midnight surcharge would kill me before I reached my own home.

Didn't get much sleep before reporting for work at 645 at KK Hosp for a health screening. Was literally a zombie with a cold at work. Went home to ZZZ.

That's how I spent Labor Day holiday sleeping the day away.

Back to Work 29.05.08

Dear Bloggy,

It's been quite a day. I've returned to my old health-screening job on Monday, since they lacked manpower.

It's actually quite good now that I'm working again, but then after starting work again, I'm in a "too tired to do other stuff" kind of state.

On that Monday itself, I went with my boss to set up the site for the next day, thus having to go back to office while waiting for time to pass. In the office, I was assigned to weird jobs like data checking and replacing lost forms. Well, much better than data entry I must say.

After that, I went to Tanjong Pagar to setup a site, after which I met up with my princess to go Suntec and have dinner. Dinner was Mac and I was rather famished after moving a large chunk of equipment and sitting at the back of a cramp vehicle for 30mins.

After Mac we walked around before going home, the next day was going to be a tiring one, 645 at Kaki Bukit...

BTW, I'm proud to be one of the last set of Front-Liners for FCBC. You know the guys along Hall 7,8,9 welcoming you to church, yeah, I'm one of the last batch to usher in.

A Forbidden Kingdom Frenzy 25.04.08

Dear Bloggy,

I just returned from watching "Forbidden Kingdom" with SQ & SY. It was an alright movie, as far as Kung Fu was concerned. However, the plot failed terribly.

Plot Summary:

American Kid (Codename: Traveler) is a Kung Fu Movie Lover. He visits this antique shoppie in Chinatown to buy videos, on his way back, he chats up some girls from a gang. The gang guys beat up Traveler and get him to lead them to rob the antique shop. Gang robs the store and shoots owner, Traveler escapes with ancient rod and returns to the past.

Traveler ends up in ancient China, meets up with Lu Yan (Jackie Chan). Jackie tells him about the prophecy of Monkey God's rod getting returned to imprisoned Monkey God and restoring peace to the land. On the way they meet up with pretty girl (Codename: Golden Sparrow) and Silent Monk (Jet Li) to get the rod to Monkey God at 5 Element Mountain to fight Jade Warlord.

Monkey God gets rod, bish bash baddie, kick American Kid back to future. The End.

Some highlights (spoiler alert)

Every Chinese guy/gal in Ancient China speaks perfect English (complete with grammar and tenses check)
Jackie Shouts "You aren't listening" and starts speaking English throughout the show
Silent Monk wasn't quite silent, he could scold "Stupid" & starts talking loads.
The Amazing Jing Gu Bang (Monkey God's Cudgel) which was supposed to weigh loads could be carried by anyone [it used to support the sea bed before it was used by Monkey God]
Lu Yan (Drunken Immortal) got pissed on
Lu Yan request Running instead of Walking Monk
In the fight of the 2 teachers, "The Traveller" got super pinched on the neck, head and chest (won't be surprised if he became well endowed in the chest)
The Golden Sparrow speaks in third person, another marvel in ancient China.
Well, besides the punch-lines and fantastic Kung Fu Moves, the movie fared miserably in the plot and adaptation to folklore. It's more of a stereotypical adaptation of the Journey to the West.

Back to School Delivery 23.04.08

Dear Bloggy,

It's back to school for delivery for the past 2 days.

Firstly, on Tuesday (yesterday), I was called to go NUS with Princess to submit her Scholarship documents. I'm rather proud of her! But, really a sudden call at 12 to ask me go NUS is really quite sudden.

After submitting her documents, we went to Arts Canteen for the fantastic KFC alternative western food. Crispy Chicken for just 2.20, with huge serving of coleslaw and fries. Really worth it, pity both of us had lunch already. Princess bought me a glass of ice blended watermelon juice. Something new!

After that, we took a internal shuttle bus ride to SOC (School of Computing) before taking a bus out of NUS to the MRT station to City Hall.

Gelare for tea break again, really getting a lot of tea breaks lately, but after Waffle + Ice Cream, we had doughnuts @ Doughnut Factory. Amazing, there wasn't a queue there...

Today

I went back to school to deliver the Group Shirts that I printed with Sheraton Gang. After the delivery, I had Jap Cuisine with my Princess for lunch. Only to discover a huge number of my fellow Alumni were working in RP.

After a quick chat with my facilitators, I left RP with Princess to get our butts kicked at the Timezone Arcade by the cheat money machines there. Princess had such a fun time at Action City with the electric sweet tin...

Went home to have dinner. Kway Chap, hmm.

The Return Drive 21.04.08

I awoke this morning feeling rather sleepy. I had not the full amount of rest I should had have. Nonetheless, I took a bath, took the car to refuel and drove to Princess's House all the way in Boon Lay.

The drive was pretty much smooth, but very long. My princess was most appreciative when I picked her up and drove her to the Mac @ East Coast for breakfast.

After having breakfast, we drove down to return the car @ Marine parade. After which we visited parkway parade to walk around. Princess bought her own PowerCard @ the Timezone Arcade there.

After the Arcade, Princess wanted to have PastaMania for lunch, so we ended up eating Pasta. Particularly only 1 type of Pasta...

PastaMania was having some promotion & we managed to get the student meal and a ball from the vending machine outside the restaurant, Princess had so much fun opening it.

After a short rest, it was homeward bound for both of us.

Hui Man's Birthday 20.04.08

Today was Hui Man's birthday! Special day for him as he turns 20 this year.

Poor fellow got quite humiliated when he was asked to parade around Hall 9 with a whiteboard saying "It's my birthday today, Wish Me!"

He has to gather 20 signatures as proof, and as his cell group, a huge entourage followed him around as he made his rounds. I must say, I was most surprised when Ps Roland sealed HM's Birthday with a might kiss. OMG!

Dad, Mum and Bro came to pick me up after service in the car. I drove to the airport to pickup my uncle from London. After the pickup, we drove to eat at a place in Bedok, unfortunately there was a road show going on and parking and tables were in short supply.

We relocated to Tamp where we had dinner and sent my uncle to Hilton hotel. During which I got lost on the highway. There should be a big sign that says Orchard Road on the highway!

Tomorrow, I pickup Princess to return the car, stay tuned!

Drip & Drive 19.04.08

Today, We are up against Killer U-turns.
Getting Lost In Toa Payoh.
And a Beer Garden.

Welcome to another episode of "Rent & Drive".
This is your host Jeneral!

Hi & welcome, this evening, we cover the day's events.
A simple drive to Ikea and Giant ended up with a dripping scare.
At the U-turn, it was terribly narrow.
The car ended climbing up the curb when it reached the U-turn.
(That road shouldn't have a U-turn sign there)
When it reached Ikea, we discovered a constant drip drip of water under the bonnet.

We bought a large rear view mirror to compensate for the small in car one.
Then we drove home to rest.
Later, a check revealed the car was still dripping water.
Hmm, wonder if that is normal?

Eitherway, we left in the evening to reach Bishan.
Driving by PIE, we got lost in Toa Payoh.

A Slight change in plans.
The guy at the car rental center changed his mind.
He didn't accept verbal agreements....???
Didn't give me my Matrix as expected, and didn't have a P Plate for me either.

Instead I ended up with a few months old Proton Gen 2 (looks older thought).
Rearview mirror absolutely terrible.
But handling is alright.
Interior isn't bad either.

I Just got off the phone with the car rental company.
Apparently, I'll be driving a Hyundai Matrix Auto (insert above) tomorrow.
Dad allowed me to rent a car to drive around Sg for the weekend!
Excited XD!

Cars aren't cheap nowadays, neither is the fuel.
But it's for the fun of driving that I'm renting the car.
I'm so lucky!

I went out with Princess yesterday and spent something close to a bomb (On TRAVEL).
I visited Borders with Wong & Khai (My Princess Garnet's friends) to fill in an application for work.
Then I took Princess to visit Kovan's Heartland Mall.
She is totally crazy over that weird Veggie tales CD.
I'm tempted to get her a vegetable & pin it to the back of her shirt (Veggie TAIL!)

I bought myself a Resident Evil Extinction VCD and Garnet had a snack at KFC before leaving for Vivo City.
@ Vivo, We walked around Toys R Us for the longest of times.
I really think we are just a couple of kids inside.
Had Dinner @ Carl's Jr and Princess had this Protein Diet idea she wanted to try.
I kept telling her protein may not necessary make you fuller but....

Sat outside under the stars to watch Sentosa and sampled Paradise Band Music.
Ran to Pet Safari, Tenchi, Daiso & Candy Empire before returning home.

Today is a special day.
It's known as Happy Letter Day.

The day started badly, with mosquitoes entering my room at 6.
Biting my leg causing me to stay awake and smack the stupid mozzie.
After smacking it, it started raining!
Excellent weather to sleep... ZZZ

Woke up around 11. Had lunch.
My first letter came around 2.
The postman arrived at my doorstep and left a letter addressed to me!
Pondering the contents of the letter, I ripped it open to find...
My Driving Licence!
Whoa, 10 days processing, stylish lah!

Went out to meet SY to check out the closing down sale stuff at Bugis.
Didn't find anything new or of interest so we went back to Bedok.
Had a game of Battlefield 2, in which SY was in full praises of my Machine Gun.
Waited for SQ.
Then we went to eat Ashton for dinner.
Corrections, tried to eat Ashton for dinner.
Silly diner was full, so had to eat Botak Jones again??

Fish & Chips was alright. The chips, Fantastic!
Played 2 round of DOTA before retiring home.
My NTU letter lay on the table.
I had entered Year 2 of Biological Sciences!

Thus today is known as Happy Letter Day!

Congratulations Class of 2008.
You have finally graduated!

The weeks have been absolutely busy.
I’m working, plus Uni Application stuff and trying to get together with friends.
Honestly sounds like a feat to me already.

SY & I celebrated SQ’s Birthday last week at Hanabi.
This was pretty high class Jap restaurant.
Food was scrumptious and the price was reasonable.
I gorged myself on the following items

~Tempura
~Miso Soup
~Wakame Udon (Udon Noodles in soup)
~Teppan Tori (BBQ Chicken)
~Yaki Niku (BBQ Beef)
~Sashimi (OMG, I’m not eating raw squid again!)

Gosh the food was sugiyo!

My dearest princess has been helping me with the University Admission Stuff.
Really Quite Thankful to have her helping me!
Its quite a wonder we managed to have time to meet up amid our busy schedule.
Especially since she is the Valedictorian for SIT (School of IT)!!

Graduation Ceremony was quite long.
I went to school early to take photos with my princess whose ceremony was earlier.
Took photos with my parents!
Followed by going on stage to take the diploma!
I was disappointed by the person saying the names as she didn’t say my course or final cert at all.

The Fever Graduation Party was last night.
There wasn’t much of a turn out, only less than 200 people.
Jean Danker was there as host.
We had food, photos, make-up artists, and even a cartoonist to draw us in portraits.
The Lucky draw didn’t seem half as lucky.
Although Zhi Hua went up on stage and won a Starbucks Mug!
Faathir got himself into the best dressed competition!
Went home…

Whoa! What a Action Packed Day!

I went with Princess to celebrate her University Placement results.
Proud that she was able to make it into NUS Computing.
Which is what she wanted in the first place.

I met her at Bugis for lunch at Jack's Place.
The Student Meal @ $7.50 was really filling and quite worth every cent.
There was Breaded Chicken (Small Portion), Fries (Small again), Soup + Garlic Bread, a salad, Ice Cream & Drinks.
Certainly filling!

After that, we walked off to Bugis to explore the Arcade.
Yes we do enjoy the arcade!
We played all the kiddie games, earned tickets and redeemed them for sweets. LOL
That's what we do most of the time anyway.

Finishing our tokens, We discovered the IT Shop on the 3 floor was closing down.
Naturally that means a sale.
I bought a pair of headphones and earphones.
Earphones for my princess whose earphones keep spoiling.
Headphones for me, I always wanted a nice pair of headphones.

Now listening with my Audio Technica Headphones Plugged in.
Sounds pretty much like fun!

The Death of My PSP 09.03.08

As the title suggests.
My PSP decided to die.

My bro was happily playing with the PSP while it was charging.
There was an audible "poof" and the PSP refused to charge or start.
My bro then decided to come over.
He smiled and placed the dead console on my table, informing me that it refused to charge or switch on.
He skipped happily to the desktop and in less than five mins, a loud "Owning" was heard.

So much for responsibility.
So much for Don't worry, I'll take care of it.

I tried everything I could,
~Different charging points
~Different Adapter Plugs
~Taking out the battery and trying to power on.

So far, it remained a lifeless creature.
Sitting on the table, staring blankly back at me...

After an S$83 revival (Original Batt & Charger).
The little console is working again.
Leaving my dear wallet totally shattered.

How will things go on?

Sometimes, its just hard to be me.
I live with my grandma, she has Alzheimer's Disease.
She goes crazy raving mad and starts scolding people for the slightest things.
Worst of all, she scolds for things we didn't do.
That simply is the worst.

But perhaps the worst, is living in the same house as her.
I just came back from KL after Qing Ming (Visiting of the family grave).
So we went for a simple dinner.
My Grandma started complaining that the distance to the coffee-shop across the road was far.
But she walks to the interchange by herself...

She refused the menu and started scolding when the food we ordered for her arrived.
Continued scolding on her way back, accusing us of stealing her things.
When seriously who would steal an 88 year old undies?
She scolded my mum upon reaching home.
My mum went to her room and slammed the door.
My bro & I took refuge in our room.
My dad tried to talk to her, of course no success.
[try talking the drunk out of being drunk, or the insane to be sane]

Then only did he retreat to his room to try cheer my mum up.
Seriously, I really wonder how things will continue?
Considering this is the same scenario daily for the past 2-4 years.

Then again, you'll probably say, "It sucks to be you pal."

Was coming home from service.
At the bus interchange...

Just as the bus pulls up beside the bay.
Waiting for the bus queue to finish so the side queue can enter.
Out out the corner of my eye, I saw some yellow shirted fat man run into the bus queue.
At the same time, the 2rd last person in the queue was boarding.

I was the first in line at the side queue, was about to board when.
Suddenly the fat yellow man pokes me on the shoulder.
Growls: "Wait Boy!"
After tapping his card.
He turns back to stare at me...

Really now, Did you think I didn't see you running into the bus queue last minute?
Did you really want to pick a fight by staring?
If you think I couldn't wait, would I wait till the 2nd last person?

Don't know how to deal with rude dumb people like that.
Shouting back would get into a fight.
Ignoring them would seem like you were bullied.
Maybe you had a bad experience with impatient side queue jumpers? I don't know.
At the same time, I'm glad he has the guts to speak out.
He could stop those really impatient side queue jumpers?

Lo and Behold.
It's been raining for the past few days.
ZZZ, even businesses are affected by the extreme rain.

Changed sites today.
Started work @ another Company manufacturing computer chips.
Gosh, the sales are terrible.

If I was a carnivorous Dino.
I would eat meat.
I wouldn't eat bones.

But If Another Bigger Dino Came.
It could eat meat and bones.
Amazing...

Anyway, That was totally random.
Took a Maxi Cab back with my colleagues.
Super cab could take 7 people. It was huge. It was also raining.
Ate Botak Jones, had huge portions of food and enormous portion of fries.

It's been a while since my princess and I went out on a full day outing.
Even when she claims that it was not a full day to her.
It was still from 10 till 10.

The day started off quite plainly, we met at AMK MRT in the morn.
Went to have Breakfast with my princess.
She loves her Kaya Toast w Egg + Iced Lemon Tea (Minus some stuff).
Then bought Subway for takeaway, Ohmygawd, they play Christian Songs at Subway!!
That's Pro!

Took a short bus ride to the Singapore Zoo.
Paid $21 for Tickets w Tram Ride!
The moment we stepped in we were greeted by Photographers.
After snapping the free photos,
We knew that the cost of developing the photos wasn't cheap.

Anyway, it was a lazy day at the zoo.
~Walking around.
~Seeing animals
~Taking Tram rides
~Taking Silly Photos

But the worst came when we sat down to lunch.
My princess put her hand on a bee.
Naturally she got stung, we called the Zoo staff.

She came out with all the serious symptoms.
Redness, Itchyness, Feeling Faint, Shortness of Breathe
Had a order sent out throughout the zoo for medics to come scurrying over.

Eventually, they just applied Calamine lotion and asked us to find a doctor.
We left shortly after that to find a doctor at AMK.
Doctor just gave antiseptic cream and dismissed us. LOL.

Met Marcus & Jason for dinner.
Had Carl's Jr for dinner and went home.
End of a eventful/uneventful day.

It could be worms one time, barley tissue the next.
That would probably make life interesting too...

I finally have a day off! Whoooohoo!
Tomorrow will be meeting up with WQ, CW and Cass!

Quite excited to see how they are doing especially since we have graduated already.
Results have been out since Wed last week.
Didn't have time to actually look it over until this week.
But still, I'm quite glad God has brought me through Poly education.
Grades have slipped up by 0.04 points but still alright.
My princess did better, her grades climbed up by 0.05 points.

My dear phone...
K800i took a tumble today.
She fell from the top of the MRT station to midway mark of the stairs.
My heart goes out to my dear phone.
Time almost slowed as I saw it tumble down scratching itself on multiple surfaces.
Most importantly, it's still in 1 piece. Thank God.

Arms still aching a little from the massive push-up frenzy on Sunday evening.
SQ & SY came over to visit for CNY.
We had a nice few games of Dota, which SY insists on playing over and over again...
Eventually changed over to Tie Di, (Don't know whats the English name for it, simply, the person who empties their hands the fastest wins)
After that we played Blackjack, in which the loser to the banker did push-ups.
Ended up with sore arms that lasted the week.

Had Health Screening Training on Tuesday.
Started work on Wed @ Suntec.
Helped as cashier. Observed how things were done.

Thursday, same site.
Phew, glad that day was over, my hand wrote so many labels...
Then had to try sell stuff, then also had to tally the cash...

Afternoon I had Sakae Sushi with my princess!
Caught Jumper.
Quite a nice movie, action, suspense, romance.
Teaches bad morals thought, this fellow abuses his power.
Hehe, My princess & I didn't have to Queue!
The Queue at the cinema was enormous!!!

After the show, we went down along the sea to watch boats and blow bubbles.
Funny how the bubbles flew to those diners along the sea.

Somehow, after the hype of graduation, nothing seems out of the ordinary.
Even this CNY seems quiet...
Wait, it is quiet.

No mega celebration of the sort.
Just the usual visiting, even the Taxi fares have increased.
Just something different, going to visit with my spiritual family.
Laughing, getting to meet actual parents, doing things together.
Its like a gathering/outing that I've quite wanted for a long time.

It's about time too...
I just finished classes on Friday.
It came after much celebration and slacking during the last week.
A Week of games for presentations (Tabboo, Quiz, etc)
A Day of ordering in for Pizza

The Graduation High Tea came as a quiet event.
Well, there was quite a bit of food, some games, lots of pictures.

FYP Over! 18.01.08

OMG! OMG! OMG!
FYP (Final Year Project) is finally over!
All of a sudden, the positive stress and the mass of things to do are all gone.
A huge burden feels like it has vanished and that leaves me feeling very lost of what to do.

The presentation was swift and smooth this time.
There wasn't any difficult questions that we were unable to answer.
But perhaps I kept too quiet during the 2nd assessor session.
I forgot to bring my log book... (Its like the passport to FYP)
It wasn't until they asked to check the books that I discovered I forgot it.
THANK GOD! My teammate actually brought the lab logbooks, the common book where all the data went into before getting copied over into our individual books.
I used the common log book (Which actually belonged to me)The assessor liked my book!
Praise God for saving me!!!

But suddenly its over, my last understanding test is on Monday.
After which, there isn't any big events anymore.
We are graduating soon.
It kinda gives me a happy/sad feeling.
I'm going to miss RP.

At least now I've got time to go exercise to pass my Napfa.

My Princess's Special Day was equipped with:
Movie: I AM LEGEND...
OMG, what a lousy ending! A mixture of "The Mummy" & "Home Alone" Series & "Resident Evil." Typical story, but with first class acting by Will Smith! Princess was so scared when the dog ran off, all because Will was breathing fast, wah haha! Like I said, its a mixture of the above mentioned movies, Virus mutates, Infects people, People Become Zombies, Zombie Kill everyone leaving 1 man behind. Story of how 1 Man survive alone.

3 out of 5 Stars: Go watch but don't expect a good ending.

Movie comes with Popcorn combo!
After the movie, it was raining and we were trapped downtown for a while before we walked to the nearest Jack's Place for dinner.

Dinner was pleasant, Princess had Lamb Chop & Fish, I had Steak & Chicken.
Desert was ice cream, Mango & Strawberry.
Cake?? :Homemade, Pure Chocolate Cake fit for a Princess!

After Cake cutting, we dilly dallied around Bugis before hitting the Arcade and going home! A special outing for my princess!

Man, It's been a quite hectic week for me;
Returning from KL,
Wiping the Windows (House Cleaning),
Outing with my Princess,

And most recently, Outing with my freshmen pals, WeiLing, Emo, JL, Leonard.
Just a simple outing to Sentosa beach.
Met up a Vivo sitting outside the Gym, watching ships go by and people exercising.
Looks like this year's countdown party at Vivo is going to be happening.
The one at Expo is going to be a blast too!

After a "Caterpillar Train" ride as dubbed by Weiling, we reached Beach station.
It's the last week of Holidays, what did we expect!
CROWDS, OMG!!!

Lucky for us, we caught tram rides from one place to another, just to discover, COUNTDOWN PARTY AT SILOSO BEACH SEALED OFF THE BEACH...
Oh well, we visited palawan beach!

Played a few rounds of Captains Ball with 3 other girls before getting bored and going into the sea. But that wasn't before Weiling started commenting on the "China people" who had come to the beach to take photos. Dressed in white with big sunhats, they seemed pretty strange on a beach full of youngsters half naked.

Hiho!

I'm back from a short vacation in KL.
Wha, it's nice to be home!
KL was fun, just visiting relatives, friends and more relatives.

Of course that means spending time with my grandparents, my aunt and my wonderfully cute/naughty/playful cousin who has just turned 2.

Feasting, going for drives, Buffet, visiting, shopping and Snacking was so much fun!
Back to SG is also fun as always. An Outing with My Princess, Taking lots of photos and exploring new places, revisiting old ones are quite interesting.

As they say: A Picture says a thousand words...
So maybe I don't need to write so much, Hehe!

Breaky Down Wed Bus 05.12.07

Dear Bloggy,

It's been absolute ages since I blogged. The reason is due to extreme time constrain. Ever since I started exercising, there has been little or no time to blog at all.

With a full five day week, extensive projects like

Driving lessons (Revision lessons now)
Final Year Project (Report writing due ASAP)
Gaming.RP Open House Marshal Duty (Game Judge, Baby!)
Napfa (OMG, I really need to pass!)
Outings with Princess Garnet (Oh dear, cannot neglect sial)
Outings with Friends (SY, SQ) Gaming time

Just absorb all the time I have.

I'm updating today, to tell how crappy things can get in the morning. For 2 consecutive weeks, the bus I ride to school has constantly broke down. What luck.

Last week, 28.11.07, Bus & Car tried squeezing into a merging lane, Car ended up loosing wing mirror to bus. Car driver ran over and delayed the bus, complaining with huge hand gestures and bad attitude. Kept the bus for 20mins.

This week, 05.12.07, Bus tire ruptured, leaving bus severely one sided. Stopped at the bus stop before the highway, where the bus is usually full... Dam...

Either way, I still make it to school on time! Thank God! That's all for today's rant. Enjoy the 2 Videos

-A chance to serve in the FOP and getting to know this great bunch of freshies!
-A chance to make RP Open cell an reality.

Wow-whee, It's been ages since I updated and I've been hoping and looking forward to the holidays. Well the fact is that it's finally here. The only bad news is that it's so packed with things that I don't quite feel any better.

It's been a tiring school term, filled with...
-driving lessons (Thankfully I've finished all my lessons, now waiting for TP in Jan T_T)
-endless Napfa practice (I still failed and need to retake in Dec)
-some Final Year Project stuff
-rare to occasional outings with my spiritual family
-daily school stuff (Sigh, can't imagine work next time...)
-weekly outing with my princess

The week was spent
-Revision Lessons for Driving,
-Trying go down to buy a new charger for Fuji (T_T they are still out of stock after 3 weeks!!!!)
-2 Days of FYP
-1 BBQ with my freshies! (I must start them on the group shirt)
-1728 Meeting With Senior Pastor

Oh, My Grandma came up to my room while I was away.
I have to thank my brother for leaving the fan on.
To off the fan, my grandma switched off all the main switches in the room...

A Little Personality Test sent to me by my princess.

I'm just thankful to God for the entire week.
Just as my brother Chris said, TGIF (Thank God, It's Friday)
He has led me throughout the entire week unscathed.
3 Understanding Tests, 2 Napfa Training Sessions, 1 Jog with my best friend SQ in the time frame of a single week.

Gosh, You can tell that I'm definitely tired. But who isn't?
Today, it was during my 2nd Training session this week that I was asking for help.
I had just run round my school, approx 1.5km and going to my second round, knowing that I wasn't really fit and I was really getting tired and if I stopped I would have failed. I asked God, help me!

Somehow, the run became alot easier, I was still huffing and puffing, but I was overcome with the sense of peace that God was running with me, letting me know he was bigger than all of my problems, my battles, my accomplishments.

1Sam17:47 All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the LORD saves; for the battle is the LORD's, and he will give all of you into our hands."

Just as when David fought Goliath, David realized that the battle was the Lord's and not his, nor Saul, nor anyone else. It was then, Victory was given to David.
The end of the day, I completed 2 rounds (3km) with his help, and went on to try all the other stations, I'm still having trouble with the Pull-ups and Broad Jump, but something tells me, that if I trust in the Lord, I've nothing to fear.

After a long absence of a week, the Jeneral Returns!

This week, we had Structural Bio on Tues that's being taught by a very interesting facilitator. He is a doctor actually and I wouldn't be surprised that he probably wrote a few Biochemistry textbooks. Considering the fact that he kept asking us to refer to biochemistry textbooks to solve the problem that day.

I just took another driving lesson yesterday, learning how to parallel park was quite tedious, but probably still quite alright, except for the point that I kept over-steering. Next week shall be the Review!

A visit to the Esplanade on Wed, the city skyline was really quite beautiful, Garnet and myself managed to get a picture or 2 taken against the skyline. We changed our power-card to a Gold card, only to find out we needed to top up $20 extra to have a free game a day...

It's been a while since I updated. School's started this week, my first 2 grades are out. Both Bs, I'm not sure why but it seems it's harder to impress my facilitators than before.

I went out with Garnet on Wed, ate dinner and played the arcade. There is this new Drum Mania machine there, however, the machine is old and quite spoilt, unresponsive... Enjoyed the time together just driving 100 plus while watching the nearby Night Market rustle.

Just had driving yesterday. My princess got me a honey lemon ice blend before I went, very nice! 2 hours of clutch in, clutch out. Ouch my leg hurts. Finished my Vertical Parking. Going complete lessons soon, but TP date far away...

Things are happening too fast!

We celebrated Alice's Birthday today! Had a Donut Cake for her and we went to Jalan Kayu for Prata. The trip there, we watched Nesh as he fantastically drove there closely behind Arrow. Theodore's driving was smooth and kept a safe distance but extreme acceleration. Some Weird Uncle who wanted peace at the coffeeshop scolded us for being noisy. Forgive us for being at a coffeeshop yeah? Its supposed to be NOISY & we are celebrating! Rushed back to do presentation. End of day!

I went to gym the previous evening with SQ and as a result my entire bodying is aching. Now to imagine Ps Khong (50+ years old) who goes to gym 3 times a week and training his body to fatigue.

Now that is something I admire!

I've just had a interesting and exciting weekend. To top the weekend off, School starts today!

I had it easy on Saturday. My dad was rather upset that I've been out the entire week, either at school or going out with friends and late nights back due to chalets. So my dad banned me from going out on the Saturday itself.

Somehow, with some luck my dad allowed me out for the evening to go meet my Secondary School pal Tiong Li. We had ice cream and a short walk around town before going back home. The evening was enjoyable to be able to talk and catch up on old & new times.

Sunday's service, Tiong came along to visit FCBC. Happy that he was able to have a first hand experience at church. Service was talking about the Hedge of protection upon each and everyone of us. That we had to choose to be under the guardian angel and live in the community of God.

Next time, no more Charlie's Angels

So far the holidays have been quite busy. Mostly in school to do FYP work. The rest of the time trying to go out with Princess and friends. Sometimes to do driving.

I've booked my Driving Test date! Its in Feb 2008... Uber long time away and I have to renew my PDL. I'm praying that someone try sell so that I can take the slot. Bwah haha!

That's my holidays for me. Nothing too exciting, nothing too free. The only regret... Not enough time for me to rest and sleep. I'd like a day off where I can slack at home and save money...

Escalator Troubles 05.09.07

Oh Darn, my bus pass expires tomorrow. What luck.
Went to school for FYP today. As usual with the rest of the holidays...
Today, everyone was late, including me.
Anyway, the experiment broke down on us and resulted in us canceling the next day's experiment and having a day off.

I went down to Lido to settle with Sam his Donation Card issues.
After which, Garnet had me race with another couple for a seat in the crowded Lido cafeteria. We won...
After the short walk back to Orchard MRT.
A spectacle was seen at the escalator, it suddenly sped up for the downwards direction.
People were flying off the escalator and others were rolling at the bottom rung.
It was a minor stampede.
Luckily someone pressed the emergency stop.
Shocking really.

A short walk away, we reached Cenileisure where Garnet and myself walked around.
We saw this stall selling various funny shirts.
Went home to rest...
Finally a break in the holidays...
I really deserve this...

Grades are out.
Congrates Garnet on a Job well done.
She bought a Nintendo DS with the reward money from her dad.
Myself - I was rewarded with a full month's allowance.
Pleased with myself.

Today's my official day off on the holidays!
Finally some time off to rest.
Started the morning slow with a supposed gym session with SQ and Chang Yong.
Went to CY's house and waited for him to finish sleeping while we played DOTA.
Sadly, I was on a tight schedule and never got to do the gym.

Was on my way to Yishun to meet Princess!
Finally some time in the holidays for her.
Bought her a nice subway sandwich which she had been craving for some time.
Princess got me some choco eggs. Cool gift on a Hot Hot Hot day!
After we had lunch, we went to play at the Arcade. Think we splurged out $10 plus.

Cute Baby 1
We saw this cute baby at the arcade, she grabbed a big gun and was holding it like a little soldier. Now what a sight. It was uber cute! Pity I didn't get a picture.

Went for my driving!
Circuit slope and Lane Change 2 cleared.
Had some trouble with the lane change as the roads were really full.
Took a bus from SSDC all the way to AMK hub where my princess was waiting.
We bought snow ice and went the fountain and slowly eat the ice accompanied by the burger that princess bought.

It was here, while we were eating the snow ice (Yogurt shavings and topping) that cute baby 2 appeared. Small kid just ran in front of where we were sitting and pointed at the cup and looked on with huge eyes. Garnet and I thought he was so cute.

I didn't manage to see this, but at the fountain which we took photos with, Garnet saw this kid run to the edge and started shouting at the water falling from the fountain. Now that would be cute.

We went home shortly after that.

Even as I type this super late night post, I'm just glad that over the past 3 days I was at the Gateway Cities Youth Conference (GCYC) 2007.

The first day started on Thursday evening.
The Last day of School Hooray!
We had pot luck in class and was happily eating.
Everyone said Mum's Apple Pie was really good.
After that it was hell break loose as we started DOTA + CS.
Fiz got scolded by Tsing, Mai and myself for suggesting work, the reason was that we had 16 weeks to do work, 80 lessons to do work and he had to choose the last lesson to work.

Oh, I went for the 1st night of conference and yeah, It was good, listening to a recap of our church Goal for the the year. I fed the remainder of the apple pie to Shaun and Terrence. LOL.

The following day, It was Friday!
The start of my holidays, naturally since I slept late the night before, I woke up late. The morning was rather dull, but come afternoon, when they had the city tour for the foreign delegates.
I met up with the 3 Japanese delegates that day. Nozomi, Elle & Kae chan. I'm still unsure about how to spell their names, so far I call them No-chan, L-chan and Kae-chan.
Interestingly, they know my name in Japan, its the name of a restaurant. Cool!
We took them around Esplanade, Merlion park and Marina Square. For Kae-chan, we brought her to Bugis to shop around for a top. Then back to TCT (Bukit Merah) for the rest of the evening's service. There was more about being Eagles for the lord!

Saturday
I came almost on time, but stopped at Redhill market to eat some breakfast.
Went to the service and heard Ps YC talk about the temptations of Jesus.
It went on until the evening where we went out with other foreign delegates to do street blessings. We managed to bless some people yeah!
The evening was wrapped up by a quick message on catching the Holy Spirit's Fire!

I'm not quite sure where I get the time to blog so much lately. I guess it must be the last few days of school and there has been quite a lot of commotion going on lately.

Today was our last Anatomy & Physiology lesson. Sweet!
As in literally, our facilitator bought us sweets as a parting gift.
There were Kit Kats, Toblerone, MARS Bars, Crunchie & Hershey's Dark Chocolate.
At first I grabbed the Kit Kat, but someone threw back the Dark Chocolate and I took it. Drools. Shared it with my princess after school. Princess's lesson ended late... 1630 still going on, OMG, thats late for a last week lesson.

Still I have to give the limelight to my classmate. He went pubbing during the 2nd breakout. He sure has guts, to drink in mid-day and come for class. Most of my classmates thought he drank Absinthe.

Don't doubt the power of an RP student.

He came back to class, all drunk and started talking extra loudly, banging his head on walls, tables and slapping himself. He eventually fainted and we had to drag him out of class & RP security was called. Shortly after he went to the toilet and washed himself (most likely cold water) and got knocked out on the restroom floor. There the security guards took a wheelchair to get him. It was rather comical, and the silly Fire Alarm system went off...

I rushed home, and rushed out to meet SQ & Jun Long, we went to the gym at the swimming complex. Nice place, pity it smells of sweat. Ran on treadmills, Walked on cycle machines, did bench presses and pull ups. After my shower, my whole body started to ache. Nice!

I just came back from a fantastic dinner from a place my family calls the Hong Kong Restaurant. The name comes from the people who work at the restaurant at the nearby Community Center; most of them are from Hong Kong and don't speak very good English.
I had a very nice pork chop + soup + French fries + Spaghetti + Fresh Lemon Coke. The food there is slightly strange but overall quite satisfying to my tastebuds.

I also celebrated with my church, Faith Community Baptist Church (FCBC) for 21 years of God's grace in our church building. I can't imagine what would happen today if God did not build the church, sure there would be another church, but everything might not be the same...

Something interesting from my driving lesson on Friday. I was troubled by this mad driver that tried to overtake me at a bend...
I mean it's a single lane and he tried to overtake me and at the last minute horned me because he was in the next lane (oncoming traffic) and wanted to cut back in.
Being in the bend and unable to respond in time, I slowed down and continued driving.

Crazy guy overtook me and went on to overtake the bus ahead of me...
Imagine the danger...
Next he overtook at a T junction...

I guess it was Friday and he wanted to go home badly.
The rain had dampened his mood and the traffic was heavy.

Garnet got a new wallet!
She must be so happy, I'm happy for her too!

I just had my last Lab Management Lesson yesterday.
It was quite fun, we just visited the lab, inspected it and took photos.
Analyzed our data on the lab and proposed improvements to be made.
That was all!

SY is sick and I wanted to see how he was doing.
He'll most likely ask me to play games but still, I haven't seen him in weeks and it would be good to catch up. SQ status is enigma till now.
