Chinese New Year’s Eve 2006

In less than 2 hours time, it will be a new year. Selamat Tahun Baru Cina. Gong Xi Fat Cai. Happy Chinese New Year!
It has been quite the busy week. With school questions that promise something unique like the edge of chaos, to the questions on life and death, back to the questions on service quality, integration and lastly gender stereotypes. On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, I managed to finish work quite quickly and could slack quite a bit, reading up and chat with friends and such.
On Thursday we even managed to find enough time to go out and play pool. Angie, Nijo and I went down to Cine-leisure to play pool, such a pity that we had enough time only for 3 rounds. First round I lost against Angie. She improved since last we met at lot 10. 2nd round I did not play, 3rd round we were in a hurry and tried to end the game quickly, I won!
Attended my first Java general meeting on the same Thursday, I observed the important dates and functions for the New Year. Need to attend some workshops in February, so I might have something to do. Helped my good friend to finish his presentation, his team was screwed so had to redo and pass to the relief facilitator. On Friday, had a Science UT in the morning; it was not too difficult nor was it easy. I hope I make it out with an A.
The class emptied out after that, people could not be bothered with the lesson or had to go off on holidays. Lucky people! We started the lesson with 3 groups and ended up with 2. I am still rather unsecured with the new facilitator. I ended the school day with a chat with Radhika, Radhika‘s friend, Leo and Nijo. Went off to watch I’m not stupid 2 with SY and TL. It was quite the silly show, but quite emotional towards the end. I won’t be giving a spoiler this time because I can’t recall what happened, it seems too …
Go watch it, support Singapore films, for a Singapore film; I agreed with my friends that it should get 4-4.5 upon 5 stars.
Saturday was spent spring cleaning, and celebrating of my mum’s birthday. I shared with my brother to get an S$98 bracelet for her. Had reunion dinner, and then had cake, now I am stuffed. Hope I don’t overeat during these holidays.
