Crystal Brite, Memories

I went through some of my stuff today; ended up throwing away some overdue food items, lots of flyers and dirtying the floor with dust and dirt. I went through quite a bit of old stuff, many of them brought back memories. Some primary school birthday pictures, several magazines cut outs, pen pal letters, stamps, coins. It was almost like a time capsule.
But accepting Christ has taught me one thing, I live not for the past but the future. I can review the past and see my mistakes and change. I can see how the past was, but I should not live in or live for the past. The future is bright, look forward and have faith in the things to come.
Dad was very nice today; he bought me a sheet of plastic costing $45. This special sheet of plastic filters light and is slightly reflective. I'm pretty happy after applying it. The only problem was I applied it in the wrong way and scratched the surface and did not apply it evenly resulting in air pockets on my screen. Thanks again dad!
While I was preparing to go cell, dad asked me to help with setting up a new wall fan. I could not refuse to help him so ended up drilling holes and patching up old ones in the wall. It would have been better if I was not in a hurry. We end so late that if I went cell would have finished.
Dad suggested that I went with family for dinner too. With that no nonsense tone, my guilt for not spending enough time with my biological family and that expensive piece of plastic I did not go for Michelle’s Birthday. Cheers and Happy Birthday spiritual sis!
