A Successful Trip

Today I visited Planet Games. Much to the delight of myself and my 3 friends. The place was quite empty as there were few people. I supposed that it was still the Chinese new year period and people were still visiting. We took a taxi from Tampines and went all the way there. The poor taxi driver was quite confused by the signs at the Singapore science centre and went round it resulting in a increase the fare. Nonetheless we paid the extra and went in.

The admission fee was $7 for ages 3 till 16. How fortunate for us. Cause adults pay $12. We later found out that the fee was broken up into 3 parts. The “Free” ang pow was a redemption for drinks. So the drinks must have cost about $2. The “Free” 4 tokens were another $2. Finally I believe that the entrance fee was another $3. If they had let the package be optional it would have attracted more customers. Anyway it was the last day.

We entered the paying games part and saw some of the oldest arcade games ever. I finally got to see the time line for the gaming consoles and arcade computers. And also how does all the gaming tools work. Joysticks, mouses, keyboards and analog pads were all opened and their contents revealed for us to inspect. A truly eductaional tour. The processor chips throughout the ages were brought out for us to have a look. And games lots of interactive games, LAN, and XBOX for us to play. Such a wonderful time.

When I returned to Tampines, I went for a short game of pool. It was so strange. I must have been out of practice cause I kept shooting jump balls even when I was supposed to shoot straight. The highlight of the day was the turbo bouncing ball. My cue ball hit the solid that I was aiming for with such force that it flew right into the pocket. Yeah. Super nice. No kidding.

Came back. Dad asked me to “Run to the catonese kitchen and see if it was open.” All I did was give him the blank look. Then he repeated his request with a slight more detail. Sigh. Will a little more detail kill him to say that. And I just came back. Sigh.
