The Mad Cycle Escapist

Went to work today and was set in charge of the Ferris wheel. I think its still a promotion compared to working at the train. The control of the Ferris wheel has 3 major buttons, plus 2 extras, 1 emergency stop compared to the train’s stop and go. The Ferris wheel is furthermore on elevated ground and has a big tent. It rained twice while I was working, but generally we had quite a good turnout today.
After that I went cycling with SY. It started to rain heavily again, therefore I cycled in the rain. I cycled through *desert* environment, getting *sand* sprayed on my back due to having no mudguard. Cycled through PR Beach Park, in the rain of course; hopeful I don’t get sick.
But it was fantastic; I didn’t feel so tired or thirsty. Just wanted to cycle to my heart’s content. The rain was my motivator and I just wanted to ride, throwing my concerns about my *clean* appearance to the wind. Both of us completed the park with a sense of achievement, and then proceeded to have a little tea before heading home.
On my way home, I was preyed on by a mud covered stone panel floor. It was so slippery when I cycled on it, it skidded and fell. There my knees were scrapped, my bike scratched, and my pedal was broken. After getting up, there was an enactment of movies, when the hero fails, the sky bursts into tears. Standing in the heavy rain, I pushed my bike over to a shelter to check the damage. My only consolation was that the cut was not deep and I could still pedal painfully all the way home.
