Today during service, I went and did consolidation work, Chris Ah Gong came looking for Leonard, asked Jimmy and found me instead. I am still not too sure about how to go about doing consolidation but I am willing to learn. Basically, I just sit down with the guy and ask him his particulars, share a little about my background and when I received Christ and tell him about our family. We try to make him feel as accepted and comfortable in our family as possible.
I also had an encounter with God today. As I was going to church, I asked God, why am I going to church, cell group and encounter. God did not even prompt me to go; does it mean it does not please him? God spoke to me in one line and said “Go if YOU want to.” I am still trying to figure out if going will please him or not, but still I have an answer that when I go anywhere I should do so entirely by my decision to worship him, and not by some other reason.
It is coming to the end of the first semester of my year 2. I still have not gotten any spiritual children. But I wonder if I have left any impression (hope they are good) on my classmates, that they will actually remember me. That they will be moved from -10 to -9.5, only God knows the answer.
In today’s sermon, key points to learn that we should place our faith, our treasure in a place far above, cause when our hearts follow our father in heaven, we can truly live a life of holiness. First we need to determine where our hearts is and the best way to do that is ask God to show us our hearts. Secondly to know that Chris died for our sins and that we should know what was the things/sins that nailed him to the cross. Then we can truly try our best to stay sin free. Like Jesus did the maximum security prison for the prisoners, he did the same for us. Lastly, to put on Jesus, I really have no idea how to do that, just to allow the Jesus in us to work.
Lord, bless me expand my territory, give me influence over it, let me harvest some people for you, and let your hand be on me, keep me safe from harm and free from pain.
