Today was an important day, today is the day my girl turns 19! Oh dear, now she is older than me le. I’ll have to call her Garnet Jie Jie, joking!
I walked with her to school in the morning as usual, went off to my lab. Later I messaged all LOL to come down for lunch together. Then in a quick 15 mins, Nijo & I arranged a birthday celebration for my precious jewel, complete with cake, candles, lighter and plates and forks. The only thing missing was serviettes, but that’s alright we have a washing basin nearby.
After that lunch, we met up after school to check out some movies that my friend lent me. Really cool! Looking out of the library, it was drizzling a little so we decided to go downtown Orchard to eat and walk around. Ate at Carl’s Jr again looks like that has become a popular place for us to eat. We walked around with her birthday cake that she didn’t finish and finally got tired and sat down at the esplanade to look at the night sky.
There I gave Garnet her present and spent time chatting till much later, which I had to go home and rest before leaving early in the morning for leaders meeting.
That morning I had leaders meeting and we saw the need to plan for the New Year ahead. I was very affirmed as I was looking at Luke 10 about Mary & Martha and the next moment, Chris spoke about it and how to manage life that is busy.
Later that evening, was unable to go to cell or Guo Wei’s Grandma’s wake as I needed to attend a dinner with my family. Most of my uncles, aunts and cousins were all there. Had an enjoyable time, talking, laming, making fun, playing pool and just carrying my baby cousin Ru around.
Later that night, as surprised as I was, God gave me an word straight out of the bible as in he gave me the exact chapter and verse. God had never been so clear and his word was very accurate to my situation. Very blessed! Hope all my readers have a blessed year ahead too!
