BBQ Farewell

Well, its been a tiring first week for me. Lots of things happening when I returned back from the hols. I feel recharged, yet drained. Its a greatly mixed up feeling. I shall try to recount for the week's activities, returning finally to today's much awaited BBQ. I don't have pictures yet but their out I hope to post 1 or 2 in the following posts.
Monday
Tiring to wake up so early and come to school again. After the holidays. Its once again that weird feeling, I want holidays when I am in school, and the opposite I want school activities when I am having holidays. Its computing again, its like one of my fav subjects. Sometimes I understand and crack the code, sometimes the code cracks me. Today is quite simply. All we do is just play a computer simulation game and try to acheive as perfect scores as possible. The game is based on the codes we have learned and we are to think like the computer following the codes and giving out a correct answer. Its realatively easy without much work needed to be done, more of brainwork.
Tuesday
Today's module is taught by Leslie. CSI style investigation into a baby's death. Eventually after a long discussion, we came out with a conclusion that the baby died of SIDS(Sudden Infant Death Syndrome). We had to learn how to work backwarks, tracing clues back to the original case. Someone kick me(expression ONLY; no action required), the teach just settled himself down infront of my team just before we went for lunch and demanded a progress report. At the end of class, he asked me whether his class ended as one of the lastest. I replied as truthfully as possible, wondering why me. Haha! I dont really mind!
Wednesday
Start of the series of module 8s. No longer easy, friendly modules its all bang head on wall types. Communication today, was all about arrangement of formal written messages format and the writting of a proposal. Our team did rather well, the only prob came later when it was crunch time, I did a major part of the editing. A written proposal was slightly difficult due to the fact that the formats vary with content, audiences and tone. I named our sender and reciever after the members in our team and our project The greatest proposal. It generated a great uproar. The name greatest proposal had to do with the original name, the original name of the project was "proposals sux," so I definitely had to change the name. Went for a game of LAN. Came home and encountered difficulty using the computer. Had to sumbit a late RJ the next day. Could not be helped.
Thursday
Enterprise Skills, new facillitator, new rules and a whole new game to play by. Today we worked on money. Nah, its more of an important thingy in today's society,
"financial planning". Learned about the different financial needs of people at different stages in life and how to plan for the future and the things associated with the planning. Went out in the evening, and looked for a new phone.
Friday
Had a tough time in science today. Using several different programmes, we had to generate enough results to fill a table. After filling the table we needed to create a formula to apply on those to create a graph that was usable for the last meeting. Major Headache!
Saturday
The major day has arrived. Spent the morning clearing my tapes and watching some saturday morning cartoons. Went to Killney KopiTiam in Katong for lunch. Dad wanted to go there so I went along. I have no idea why people like traveling so far for a simple meal. It was nice though. Went home, took a bath, had a nap and went off to the BBQ. During my trip back to Pasir Ris, it kept raining. So I was worried about the BBQ. Nonetheless it proceeded as planned, only abit lain back by the rain. Had some uninvited guest, had some leftover food, had a cake cutting session to wish Mdm Liu a safe trip home and etc. Had a picture taking session and lastly after that a ghost story session. People were all over the place some smoked, some went off to talk, some went off to play cards. Played a finance post there after learning about it on Thursday. Hahahaz.
During the story telling, there was an uneasy presense in the air. Like someone else there besides the rest of us BBQers, listening to the story there. I heard footsteps later but saw no one, perhaps it was the mind playing tricks when it heard the ghost stories, perhaps it was not. Whatever it is, I still suggest that caution is the best defence.
I still find the BBQ tonite was fantastic. Cheers to all the people who made it such a great success!
