The Teacher’s Day Misadventure.

Went to school in the morning to take another UT, I think it was for computing, the holiday mood is setting in so I don’t take too much memory to recall. So after the test, I gave the communications facilitator a teacher’s day present to thank her for all the help she gave me during the semester and a sort of apology to say I would be absent from her class the rest of the day.

Met up with several school mates and discussed the prospects of returning to school to see the current state and of course catch up with the teachers. That was around 9.30am. Then I went all the way back to Pasir Ris to white sands for a while. I was told several pupils went there and they said we could not enter till 2 pm. It was a saddening moment; no wait a better word would be disappointing. Instead of the usual half day, there was a full day and we the students who made an effort to actually come back to school were locked out. It was certainly quite shocking.

In the end, the teachers did not complain so we the ex-students should not either. There was not concert this year either so I guess the teacher’s day celebrations was kept to a bare minimum, just a visiting session. I got to meet most of the teachers and greeted them a happy teachers day. I must say Mrs Lim was a very highly sought after teacher in our class. The whole class almost went hysterical after seeing her and chased her down to staff room.

Overall, I find it very heart warming that although the school has changed, the students have rotated, the teachers are still very original. Ah and congratulations to both my fencing teachers for having a son and to all the other teachers that I could not meet; “A VERY HAPPY TEACHERS DAY TO YOU”!!!!

Below are some of the pictures, I meant to put up some time ago, but I rarely blog so this has been delayed a lot.
