Open House or Pool 2006

Welcome back to school after 4 days of open house. Sigh, I don’t really feel like coming back today, but I had to because of the understanding test in the morning. Even so, I did finish the test with 3 minutes to spare and checked and recheck. Found it to be rather doable, so I’m not sure what to expect. What I need is all the remainder understanding test gets ultimate scores (A) to enter the top 5% again this semester.
Previous few days have been fun, but tiring. I notice that mental weariness is easy to get but does not go away so fast. Physical weariness is easier to address. Why do you think that those Stars and people keep fainting from exhaustion?
First day (Saturday) I was helping out with guides in the morning, did cheer, carry balloons, herd guests, direct traffic, all in a day’s work. What was irritating that the people did not want guides but get lost later, making more trouble for us guides! When about to take lunch, I was a mere few steps away from lunch, but was asked to take another group up on a tour; I did so with a smile. I wonder how many CE points for 1 day. Otherwise all that training was wasted.
3rd and 4th days, I spent at the SAS booths. Guides that came past wondered what I was doing there. I donned a lab coat and explained the Biotechnology course to prospective students. 2 CE points there!
After the 4th day, I went with Angie and Nijo to play pool. Poor Leonard could not join us, wonders where he went? K-Pool causeway point was closed so we opted to go Lot 1 near Angie’s house. There we ate at Long John Silvers and went up to play pool there. Game was fun, great to analyse new tactics and practice. After that we went to take a photo together since we were all wearing green. We wrote LOL in honour of the great snow king of lamers.republic: Leo! When we came to school today, we teased him quite a bit. Don’t worry Leo we will bring you along next time if you allow us to!
The debate today was taxing. I did not doubt the idea of justification went into my head. Mrs Tan really should learn to control her volume. She ended her 6ppt with the class quietly, then she pauses for 30 seconds and shouts “But” and continues with what she wanted to say. I was closing my web browser and trying to think, then suddenly this loud “BUT” comes behind me. That was shocking! Need to add to my RJ, don’t shout suddenly, Tilda Swinton (Narnia) uses that (Shouting when quiet, quiet when noisy) to great effect, but that’s a movie. Real life needs less surprises don’t you think?
