The Open House Reece Trip 2006

Today will mark the end of the first week of the year. Hooray! This culture lesson will be the first for the year. Today was about food and the occasions that made them special. Basically you are what you eat was the theme for today. I was rather tired out as we had to do research but there was very little useful information about the food and their origins and their different meanings through the ages.
Yesterday’s Visual Basic ended up with me being extra busy as I tried to help several classmates resolve their VB woes as well as trying to work my own VB codes. It was extremely tiring, I was glad I went for breakfast to calm the mind and soul. It also helps that I work with a satisfied stomach.
I went to the new Republic Polytechnic Campus at Woodlands. It was huge, and very new, in fact so new it was not completed yet. I saw workers painting, fixing and gluing everything into place. The place was also dam dusty. I really wonder how they will get everything ready by next week. Angie, I want that New Republic Polytechnic countdown timer code.
One of the buses we rode there was banged by another bus just outside the narrow road leading into the school. The driver was taken to a hospital by an ambulance. Damage was pretty bad, one bus end had been crushed and the other’s driver seat and stairs were ripped out completely. So students beware when coming to the new school if the driver of the bus with ripped out driver seat does not make it. Choy! Touch wood. Wish him a speedy recovery.
Speaking of recovery, I would love to have wolverine’s recovery speed. It will be like when I get in a fight, I get a black eye and exclaim looks normal to me the next second. Paper cuts will be a thing of the past. I will also have longevity and great health. Ha-ha!
