Sentosa Away A Rainy Day 01.03.07

Imagine a painfully long journey on a definitely hard bus seat, lengthened by a wonderful traffic jam, in terrific heavy downpour conditions and blisteringly cold air con.
That was experience on Wednesday, when I took a bus 22 all the way down from Tamp to AMK. Wow, just wow is the word. The super jam along Paya Lebar was incredible, 30mins ++ of stop, go, stop, go in a heavy downpour that could only be described as raining tigers and wolves. (Cats and dogs too small le). Even the air-con was against me, it was super freezing, where was my jacket when I needed it. When I finally met Gab, James, Hui man, Guo Wei, it was already 8 plus, Gab pleasantly drove us to upper Thomson road for Prata. There we were joined by Chris Kor2! We ate, cracked jokes, and ate some more then Gab sent James home, and me to Woodlands! What a great guy!
Just today, I went down to Garnet’s house in Lakeside, sat underneath the void deck and waited for her to come down to meet me. I wonder if she actually liked the surprise of me fetching her.
We visited her aunt, somewhere in west coast and took a convenient bus all the way down to Harbor front. I believe it was the same bus number as the one I took from encounter camp in NUS. At Harbor front, we alighted and visited Vivo city (its supposedly S’pore largest shopping center with S’pore largest Cineplex), bought our drinks and tickets and were on our way!
In Sentosa, it was still raining quite badly; we took a free tram ride. Nonetheless, we changed and went down to the waters when the rain wasn’t too heavy and had a fun time, splashing about, getting battered by choppy waves and just playing with water. When the sun was setting, we changed and the sky finally stopped pouring on us, and took a train home. Sadly, we didn’t manage to catch the musical fountain, maybe another time. After buying some drinks for Garnet to take home, we sat and watched the ships before setting out for home, tired and weary but content!
